About us

NomadIT (Events Ltd) administers academic professional associations and organises their academic conferences. We provide outsourced, remote technology and admin services to academics in the UK, Europe and beyond focussing on - but not limited to - social science, particularly Social Anthropology.

Established in 2001, when the founder sought to fund a nomadic lifestyle afloat on the English waterways, the company has grown with client needs with a slow expansion of the team and hours in the working week. A decade back, half the team lived on canal boats, but the boaters have moved ashore and the team’s geographical focus has shifted. We continue to work remotely (attending some conferences and meetings in person), and remain friendly, down-to-earth and somewhat unconventional.

It was a real pleasure working with you and all the wonderful Nomads, and as a partnership we all feel it was very successful and a lot of fun.
