Childcare
These are child care providers who provide occasional or respite care for children, but you will have to make these arrangements directly.
1) Andrew Fleck Childcare Services
Provides short term care givers, not at a daycare centre but will send a care giver to your home, hotel, work, conference etc, and coordinate with you there.
The cost depends on the number of hours required per day and what activities you want them to do (ie going to museums, drop in playgroups etc); they don't provide meals or snacks. If you don't bring a stroller, they can provide one during the day.
Can cover day and evening hours.

Language practices at CASCA Conferences
In response to concerns raised by members about the place of French at the joint CASCA-IUAES conference, the CASCA Executive Committee would like to issue the following statement:
CASCA is a bilingual association, which has francophone and Anglophone members. We promote the activities and defend the interests of our members in both English and French, and our executive committee is made up of francophone and anglophone members. We are committed to doing what we do in both of Canada’s official languages: our website and all of our written communications are in both French and English, and our publications, the journal Anthropologica and our web-based bi-annual news magazine Culture have English and French content. Our annual conference also functions in both official languages, although we recognize the challenges that this presents for organizers and participants. Since the exchange of ideas is the very purpose of this event, it is crucial that everyone be able to express themselves and understand others. As a bilingual association, we welcome the exchange of ideas in both French and English. This means that papers, round-tables and poster sessions at our conferences can be presented in either French or English or through a combination of both languages. We fully respect the right of our members to present in the language of their choice.
