VAD2024 publishers

Book exhibit at VAD2024

The VAD2024 conference will take place over three days as a hybrid (both face to face and online) event and is likely to attract ~500 delegates, with both Africanist academics and other researchers from around the world.

Logos and publishers will be listed on the publishers’ page in alphabetical order, prioritising double display table clients over the alphabetical order.

Publishers based in Germany will be charged an additional 19% VAT

Publishers and other exhibitors can choose one or more of the following options:

A) Participation with single display table
Full access for one staff member to panels, events and a single display table (~1.4m x 0.8m). Logo and name on the publishers page.

Registration fee: €350.

B) Participation with double display table
Full access to panels, events for two staff members and a double display table (~2.8m x 0.8m). Logo and name on the publishers page.

Registration fee: €600.

C) NGO participation with single display table
Full access to panels, events for one staff members and a single display table (~1.4m x 0.8m). Logo and name on the publishers page.

Registration fee: €150.

Book exhibit space

The publishers’ space will be on the (1.) first floor in an open atrium – one floor up from the main entrance, registration desk and catering area on the (0.) ground floor.

Publishers are invited to bring with them roll-up displays and any relevant branding related accessories.

See here for the preliminary conference programme, the tables should be open from the first coffee break until the end of the last break (about 9:00-18:00, from Monday to Wednesday) to gain maximum footfall.

How to book

Please email the following information to vad(at)nomadit.co.uk to book your presence:

name of company/institution
option you would like to book
Your company/institution VAT/ Tax Number
names and email addresses of the staff members wishing to attend (if booking the display tables).
Double table display booking clients can list 2 staff members.
any information you need to appear on the invoice
please let us know as soon as possible if you are planning any book launches. These typically take place in a separate room near the publishers space, and would last around 30 minutes.

Terms of payment will be 30 days from receipt of the invoice, and payment methods will be card payment online or bank transfer.

Once your booking is received we will put you in contact with the law department representative at the University of Bayreuth, who will prepare your booking contract. Contract is in German only, but a broad English translation will be made available to you.

We will contact you with instructions regarding how your attending staff members should register in our system.

Please send in any deliveries so they would arrive lates on Friday 27 September. Deliveries arriving later might not be transported to the conference venue on time.

Please note

We do NOT offer unstaffed displays.

There will NOT be a physical conference book so we will NOT be offering insertion of ads/catalogues in delegate packs. Website adverts will be visible to all (both in person and online) delegates, as they will all use the site to navigate the event.
