Paper short abstract:
Issues of rural development has become the main challenge towards sustainable development of any country, regardless it has developed or underdeveloped political economy. In the contemporary world, development process is an interconnected system of all socio-economic activities at all levels.
Paper long abstract:
By present, the Kyrgyz Republic, which for last three decades concetrated mainly on international development and globalization of all political, economical and social processes, has turned its policy making and national interests to rural development or development regions. The country has implemented a lot of national strategic programs toward to get smoothly integrated into global processes, but with underdeveloped rural economy, infrastructure and human capital, the Kyrgyz Repubic is not able to sustain for a long perspective. In this regard, the working paper provides the study of all concepts of sustainable rural development which fits to all inherent political, economical and social features, as well the geographical and climate conditions are taken into account. Additionally, the successful experience and practices of mountainous countries in development process will be explored for further study in the framework of the Kyrgyz rural development. So far, the Kyrgyz Repubic promote the Green Economy concept which can be stated as one of the concept of sustainable development, but how it relates to rural development is under consideration.
