Short Abstract:

Mia Bettar, Sudan (40 min) Swiss Initiative Arabic, English subtitles “Iman” is the story of four men and women from different walks of life. Despite their different backgrounds and circumstances, they share one common destiny; they are drawn into the world of violent extremism. Based on real events and personal stories, this intervention film induces the debate on prevention of violent extremism in the present-day challenges. This film is an essential part of the current global UNDP campaign PAVE (Partnering against violence and extremism). The screening is followed by a discussion on the impact of culture initiatives in preventing violence and extremism.
