An expanded version of academic speed dating designed to foster connections and support based on academic profiles and research problems.The workshop consists of four phases: creating a “Tinder” profile, filtering, speed dating, and final matching (“It’s a Match!”).

Description

"It’s a Match!" is a networking workshop designed to foster meaningful academic connections through guided peer interaction. Drawing inspiration from the concept of speed dating, the workshop enables participants to present their research interests, identify complementary expertise, and discuss current research challenges in a supportive and collaborative environment.

The workshop consists of four stages: creating a "tinder-like" profile, thematic filtering, speed networking, and final matching (“It’s a Match!”). We want to encourage participants to exchange feedback and identify potential collaborators based on shared interests and complementary methodological or theoretical expertise.

Taking place on the first day of the conference, the session aims to strengthen participants' engagement throughout the event by helping participants to form connections early on, which can then develop into discussions during the conference and lead to further networking.
