Short Abstract
To celebrate 25 years of Swiss STS, join us for a classic Swiss Apéro—an early-evening (17:00) ritual of informal networking and conviviality—at Klub Re on Thursday, September 10.
Description
The "Swiss Apéro" culture is a ritualized form of low-stakes sociality—typically taking place around 17:00—that centers on light alcohol (wine, beer, or a spritz) and small shared foods, functioning as a socially sanctioned transition zone between work and private life. Anthropologically, it operates as a key site of informal networking and cohesion, where belonging is performed through timing, moderation, and participation in understated conviviality. Join us in this ritual to celebrate 25 Years of Swiss STS (17:00 at Klub Re on Thursday, September 10th).
