Long Abstract
This virtual roundtable brings together anthropological reflections from across Africa on the challenges (and opportunities) that face disciplinary research, practice and public engagement. Anthropology students and academics from across the continent will share their experiences during the Covid19 pandemic and its aftermath. The panel is designed to be informal, inclusive and dialogical, welcoming new voices and perspectives. The aim is to foreground the expertise and contribution that African scholars offer the global discipline, and to explore the possibilities the crisis opens up for anthropological research, policy critique and public engagement.
