Short Abstract

This roundtable brings together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners. The roundtable aims to build pathways for sustained collaboration between universities, NGOs, and refugee-led organisations.

Description

Format: 5–6 short (5-min) provocations followed by audience dialogue.

Interactive element: “Idea exchange wall” — participants write one challenge and one idea for bridging research and implementation.

This roundtable brings together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners. Using recent findings on protection, gender, and social cohesion in displacement contexts, discussants will identify the barriers that prevent academic evidence from informing policy and humanitarian programming. The format will prioritise dialogue and co-creation: short provocations will be followed by facilitated discussion clusters where participants propose actionable mechanisms for joint agenda-setting, ethical partnerships, and community-led research. The roundtable aims to build pathways for sustained collaboration between universities, NGOs, and refugee-led organisations.
