This roundtable with Palestinian and Israeli social scientists, working in and outside Palestine/Israel, will focus on questions around professional and personal experiences and analyses of the speakers, regarding silencing institutions and their effects on their academic freedom, research and teaching practices, career trajectory, and well-being. We will further examine how such silencing extends beyond national borders, and reflect on ways we could counter these dangerous processes as academics and particularly as anthropologists/social scientists.
