Accepted Paper:

Semantics of predicates in modern English and Kyrgyz linguistics
Tursunai Ibragimova

Abstract:

Currently, there is no doubt about the fact of the global influence of oral speech on the modern written and literary language. One of the characteristic features that allow the free influence of conversational factors of the language is the displacement and interpenetration of syntactic constructions

This article is devoted to the semantics of predicates in English and Kyrgyz.

The article defines the theoretical foundations of predicates in English and Kyrgyz texts. A cognitive model of predicative field representation is established.

The cognitive and semantic aspect of the representation of predicates in the text is analyzed. The similarities and differences in the functioning of English and Kyrgyz predicates in the text are compared and established.

This article discusses the problem of predicates and the need to identify clear criteria for the semantic classification of predicates, to consider the characteristic features of predicates, to study their morphological and semantic features, as well as to classify predicates by semantic types.

Keywords:

predicates; state predicates; semantic classification; morphological and semantic features; types of predicates
