Abstract:

This study presents the findings of a survey conducted among 9,600 rural sixth-grade schoolchildren in Kazakhstan in 2024, who participated in the Olympiad for rural schoolchildren, totaling 90,000 participants. The questionnaire encompassed inquiries concerning media consumption, the integration of technology into the educational process, and perceptions of new artificial intelligence technologies, correlating these with the participants' performance in the Olympiad, specifically in spatial and logical thinking. Data analysis employed descriptive, correlation, and factor analyses. The surveyed cohort represents Generation Alpha, born after 2000, rendering the results highly pertinent for understanding contemporary educational and technological trends. Conducted between 2021 and 2024, this survey enables the assessment of trend development over time.
