Development of green finance in in Kyrgyzstan: challenges and opportunities

The concept of green growth and sustainable development is becoming a world ideology, which defines the vector of transformation of the world economy.
While developed countries have solid experience and well-functioning financial market tools to fund and promote green initiatives, the rest of the world finds it difficult to implement them in light of the current global challenges.
Foremost the urgent issue of ensuring sustainable growth is the transformation of the financing system and the formation of a new financial paradigm based on the principles of responsible investment and social consciousness of business.
The research aims to study both theoretical and practical aspects of the formation of a national green finance model in order to ensure progressive sustainable growth in the conditions of developing countries. And to study the experience of the developed countries in developing the green financing mechanism and the climate bond market in order to identify national characteristics and the possibility of applying their successful experience in Kyrgyzstan.
