The panel will provide a comparative analysis of the information in different media systems in the Central Asia Region; the discussion will revolve around similarities and differences in media coverage across countries in Central Asia. The discussion will also involve other factors such as the nature of new content and its relationship with media format, channels, and distribution frequency.

Panelists will discuss the following questions: What are the key features of fake information about the war in Ukraine in Central Asia? What is the role of social media in the distribution of information about the War in Ukraine? How did Russian media dominate the public sphere in Central Asia? Social media and propaganda: what consequences does it have? What are some of the methods to expose pro-war fakes?
