Registration
Registration remains open. The daily timetable and panel timetable are now posted, which should help you organise your trip.
All those wishing to attend the conference, regardless of role - whether presenting, convening, discussing, listening - must register online and in advance. All invoices should be settled in advance of the conference. Paying at the conference is by special arrangement only and will be in CASH CAD only.
Full conference registration includes access to the opening ceremony, the welcome reception, the keynotes, panel sessions, the film programme, the posters, roundtables, book fair, tea/coffee during the morning and afternoon breaks. All delegates will also be given a printed conference programme.
The conference dinner is no longer sold out. It will take place on Saturday night and will be held in the Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health. The ticket for this dinner is an extra, to be booked at the time of registration, costing CAD $75. This event, held in a hall and exhibit space designed by architect Douglas Cardinal, will include world-class Aboriginal cuisine, music, and a drink. Income earned by the centre from this dinner helps fund their work.
The registration fee also includes membership of both associations, IUAES and CASCA for 2017. Those colleagues who have already paid their 2017 membership for an association, will have their membership of that association extended by one year. The CASCA membership allocated as part of the registration fee gives members online access to the association's journal. Please contact membership(at)anthropologica.ca if paper copies are desired.
All prices are in Canadian dollars, CAD. Please use the web to establish what the CAD amounts below are in your own currency, so as to select the correct category.
Registration rates for the full conference are:
- High income (those earning > CAD $54,000 gross per annum): CAD $445
- Medium income (those earning between CAD $18,000 and $54,000 gross per annum): CAD $350
- Low income (those earning < CAD $18,000 gross per annum): CAD $245
All academic delegates must register and pay for the full conference. Fees will be waived for local First Nations people wishing to audit the event.
University of Ottawa students wishing to audit the conference can request a day-pass by emailing cascaiuaes2017(at)nomadit.co.uk.
The Early-bird rates (CAD $415/320/225) ended on 9th March.

We organised two exciting excursions to be held on Sunday 7 May: a trip to the Algonquin First Nation Kitigan Zibi and a Paddle for Peace canoe trip on the Ottawa River. These are now sold out.
