Interests: My interests center on international development and the ways in which inequality, power, and policy interact to shape outcomes in the Global South. I am particularly drawn to issues of poverty, gender inequality, and environmental justice, and I am interested in how development interventions can move beyond theory to deliver meaningful, inclusive impact. I am especially motivated by approaches that integrate local knowledge with global policy frameworks.
Regional Focus: Sub-saharan Africa especially East Africa, Tanzania. I am motivated by the gap between policy design and implementation in Tanzania, and by the ways institutional weaknesses can limit the impact of even well-intentioned programs. I have seen how inclusive, accountable, and locally grounded policies can transform communities. I am particularly passionate about designing evidence-based solutions that reflect Tanzania’s unique social, economic, and cultural realities.
