Interests: My PhD research explores the spatial dynamics of digital industry clusters in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), India’s largest metropolitan area. By analysing locational determinants and externalities, the study aims to uncover the underlying dynamics shaping these clusters. A key focus is examining how remote work influences their spatial organization. Using spatial mapping techniques, the research also assesses whether digital industries have unique location patterns compared to traditional sectors. Additionally, it evaluates the role of knowledge spillovers and skilled labor pools as drivers of cluster formation and growth. The findings will contribute to understanding India’s expanding digital economy and helps policy strategies for growing secondary cities of the country.
