Humphrey Buradi Zadock (The Water Project - MajiOps, Western Kenya)
Interests: As a development professional, my interest in the Development Studies Association (DSA) stems from a deep commitment to contributing meaningfully to sustainable development, social justice, and inclusive growth both locally and globally. The DSA’s mission to advance knowledge and understanding of international development aligns closely with my professional goals and personal values.
Engaging with the DSA provides a dynamic platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, research collaboration, and knowledge exchange among academics, practitioners, and policymakers. I am particularly drawn to the Association's focus on addressing global inequalities, fostering participatory development approaches, and promoting ethical research practices. These are core areas in which I seek to grow and make impactful contributions.
My participation in the DSA community offers an opportunity to stay at the forefront of critical debates and innovative practices in development. It allows me to both contribute to and benefit from the Association’s wide network of professionals who are shaping the future of development thinking. Through active involvement—whether by attending conferences, contributing to thematic working groups, or engaging in collaborative research—I aim to broaden my perspectives and strengthen my ability to design and implement evidence-based, context-sensitive development solutions.
Ultimately, my interest in the DSA is rooted in a belief that collaborative knowledge-building and inclusive dialogue are essential for addressing the complex challenges facing our world. By engaging with the Association, I aspire to enhance my professional practice, contribute to meaningful change, and support the vision of a more equitable and sustainable global society.
Regional Focus: My focus is working in Africa with a soft touch for Western Kenya.
