Emmanuel Khalil Sesay (Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex)

Interests: As a young leader and development researcher from Sierra Leone, I have witnessed the profound impact of global policies on the daily lives of marginalised communities. My Interest in joining the DSA is born out of a deep conviction that young people must lead in devising solutions to pressing global development challenges, such as economic inequality, climate change, and governance deficits. This forum represents an invaluable platform to elevate youth voices, exchange innovative ideas, and advocate for policies that reflect the lived experiences of young individuals, particularly those from the Global South.
