Interests: Dengiyefa Angalapu is a Research Analyst with the Centre for Democracy and Development. He is a political scientist interested in researching and teaching development challenges in the global south, specifically focusing on issues around democracy, identity politics and conflict, crude oil-related violence, terrorism, climate change, environmental politics, and sustainability. He is a member of the International Political Science Association (IPSA), The American Political Science Association (APSA), The Nigerian Political Science Association (NPSA) and the Nigerian Political Science Association South South Zone (NPSA-SS). Dengiyefa Angalapu holds a B.Sc (Hons) in Political Science and an M.Sc in Development Studies from Niger Delta University, Nigeria.
