Book Exhibit
The VAD2022 conference will take place over three days as a hybrid event and is likely to attract ~400 delegates, comprising Africanist academics and researchers from around the world. Some delegates will attend in person while others will attend online.
The book exhibit will take place in the main hall of the conference venue, ensuring you are in the midst of the delegate footfall between events.
Publishers and other exhibitors can choose one or more of the following options:
A) Participation with single display table
- Full access to panels, events and reception for one staff member
- Single display table (~1.4m x 0.8m)
- Registration fee: €350
B) Participation with double display table
- Full access to panels, events and reception for two staff members
- Double display table (~2.8m x 0.8m)
- Registration fee: €600
VAT
Publishers based in Germany will be charged 19% VAT in addition; this is not the case for companies based outside of Germany.
How to book
Please email the following information to vad(at)nomadit.co.uk to book your presence:
- name of company/institution
- option you would like to book
- Your company/ institution VAT/ Tax Number
- names and email addresses of up to two staff members wishing to attend (if booking the display tables)
- any information you need to appear on the invoice
- terms of payment will be 30 days from receipt of the invoice, and payment methods will be card payment online or bank transfer.
Once your booking is received we will put you in contact with the law department representative at the University of Freiburg, who will prepare your booking contract. This contract is in German only, but a broad English translation will be made available to you.
We will contact you with instructions regarding how your attending staff members should register in our system.
Please note
We do NOT offer unstaffed displays.
There will NOT be a physical conference book so we will NOT be offering insertion of ads/catalogues in delegate packs. Website adverts are visible to all delegates, both those attending online and in person, as all will use the site to navigate the event.

Pandemic disruption
As the global pandemic and consequent restrictions are unpredictable there is a possibility that the conference could become an entirely virtual/ online event. If this change becomes necessary, we will notify all those with table bookings and offer you the option to either exhibit your products via virtual booths in the online conference platform (prices would be lower and a refund of any balance would be made), or to cancel your booking for a full refund.
