In contemporary times of proliferating neoliberalization, augmenting socio-economic disparity, environmental degradation, and political struggles around identities and belonging, health and well-being are becoming increasingly fragile. Not least, the current COVID-19 pandemic illustrates in particularly dramatic ways, how intimately entangled economic, ecological, social, cultural, and political factors can be, and how their interaction in affecting people’s living environments and professional worlds render health and health care provision a complicated affair.
